Tradition Genève and UICC forge new partnership to advance the early detection of breast cancer

Tradition Genève proudly announces a partnership with the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) reinforcing its commitment to impact investing and social responsibility.

Tradition Genève distributes a new Structured Product Label that allows investors to help improve access to early breast cancer detection for women. Using this Label, the investors not only have the full potential of any Structured Product that may be conceived but also contribute to addressing one of the most pressing public health challenges.

Breast cancer is the most diagnosed cancer in women in 157 countries. In 2022, close to 700.000 women died from breast cancer, with a disproportionate number of these deaths occurring in low-resource settings.

Through this partnership, UICC will allocate funds to selected member organisations in low- and middle-income countries empowering them to establish screening programmes and services addressing inequities in healthcare access.

“UICC is excited to embark on this innovative partnership with Tradition Genève, empowering investors to help take action against breast cancer”, says Dr. Kirstie Graham, Director of Capacity Building at UICC. “Through this collaboration, we aspire to create a lasting impact in the lives of thousands of women, supporting the early identification of cancer, and thereby improving prognosis and overall outcomes.”

“As a prominent financial institution based in Switzerland, it is incumbent upon us to engage in innovative practices aimed at harmonizing investment endeavors with the advancement of key societal issues. Through this new investment Label called the Pink Note, we offer a unique opportunity that combines investment flexibility with a deliberate and quantifiable contribution to the early detection of breast cancer. I take pride in contributing to this initiative and offering such a significant solution to our clientele.” says Sébastien Pannelier, Head of Structured Product at Tradition Genève.

The Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) is the largest global membership organisation dedicated to taking action against cancer. Founded in 1933, UICC has over 1,150 member organisations in 172 countries and territories. Through its Breast Cancer Programme, UICC plays an important role in driving awareness, early detection, and access to quality care of breast cancer on a global scale.
